What started off as a hobby of taking pictures of windows from old shop houses was an idea to turn them into patterns. We explored more of buildings and surroundings in Kuala Lumpur that are remembered as well as forgotten. A mixture of eclectic facades, vibrant colours, old and new monuments.
Masjid Jamek
One of A. B. Hubback’s masterpieces, Masjid Jamek was built in 1909 by the Selangor Public Works Department. Moorish architecture or “Mahometan style” was the inspiration of the design, prior to being involved with the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Upon entering the mosque, a series of colonnades greet worshipers and visitors alike, creating a humbling and calming experience.
