What started off as a hobby of taking pictures of windows from old shop houses was an idea to turn them into patterns. We explored more of buildings and surroundings in Kuala Lumpur that are remembered as well as forgotten. A mixture of eclectic facades, vibrant colours, old and new monuments.
Stadium Merdeka
Completed in 1957 , a few days before our national independence, Stadium Merdeka was built for the sole purpose of this historic event. The late Tunku Abdul Rahman wanted a sports stadium to host our independence. The stadium also would host other important sports events. It could fit 20,000 spectators at that time. The shell roofs are one of the distinctive features in the design. It is cantilevered 60 feet forward and supported by tension rods.
