Proper candle care is one of the most important factors to a good quality burn and a long-lasting candle. Follow the steps below to ensure you get the most out of your candle:

- Candle wax has memory. Ensure that the candle burn pool reaches the edges of the jar each time it is burnt to prevent a tunneling effect.

- When extinguishing the candle, dip the wick into melted wax and then straighten wick to prevent smoking – this also prevents hot wax splatters when blowing out candles.

- Before relighting your candle, make sure the wick is trimmed to about 5 millimetres – this prevents excessively large flames that can form soot around the jar.

- Burn your candle for a maximum of 2 hours at any one time for maximum fragrance throw.
